Pancopia is a private R&D and engineering company founded in 2014 that specializes in environmental and energy engineering. Located in Virginia, our personnel have several decades of experience providing sustainable environmental and energy solutions throughout the Commonwealth. Our staff has also worked on projects throughout the Chesapeake Bay watershed, the country, and at several locations worldwide.
Pancopia was founded in 2014 in Hampton, VA by William (Bill) Cumbie, an engineer with more than 35 years of experience in the field. Although a young company, Pancopia has achieved quite a bit. In only a few years, it has already won contracts with NASA and the USDA, been awarded more than $1.2 million in research funding, and filed three patents. In the future, Pancopia hopes to continue developing innovative, sustainable solutions to the world’s environmental problems.
Pancopia is located in the Reaktor Accelerator (formerly known as the Peninsula Technology Incubator), an award winning facility located in Hampton, Virginia. In previous years, affiliated companies have won several national awards for entrepreneurship, in addition to being named one of the top accelerator programs by the Small Business Administration.
